A 700-case abduction tally gets reframed as proof of God, but the dataset is still just memory.
Joe Jordan says he has logged roughly 700 alleged abduction cases over three decades, and claims a recurring pattern in them has strengthened his belief in God. That is the whole story. The evidence behind it is self-reported testimony, not telemetry.
No case files, no control group, no independent verification are offered in the piece; it leans entirely on first-person recollection, often recovered years after the supposed event. Recurring motifs in trauma narratives are common among people interviewed by the same researcher using similar prompts, which is a known feature of memory and suggestion, not evidence of alien or divine contact.
Faith is not data. The Economic Times ran this as a personal-belief piece dressed as an investigation, and that distinction got buried under the headline. Grade: D for evidence, A for storytelling.
