Pale chicken thief near border is probably a sick coyote

A grainy photo from Ciudad Juárez has been rebranded as an interdimensional predator by a researcher with a history of overselling thin evidence.

The animal in question is pale, hairless in patches, and apparently good at walls. That description matches sarcoptic mange in coyotes almost exactly; the mites strip fur, thicken skin grey, and leave the animal gaunt and odd-gaited. Six feet is an eyeball guess off a blurred still, not a tape measure against a carcass.

Jaime Maussan is the same investigator who presented ‘alien mummies’ to the Mexican Congress in 2023, later identified as assembled from human and animal bone. His record on species identification is not strong. ‘Another dimension’ isn’t an explanation; it’s a placeholder for the bit nobody checked.

No vet exam, no tissue sample, no corpse. Chupacabra mythology never dies. Grade this a probable mangy canid, filed under unresolved rather than unexplained.
