This UFO report is about fonts, not flying saucers

A PyPI package called ufo-tdkit-report writes commit messages for font design files; no aliens involved, sadly.

Let’s clear the runway. UFO here stands for Unified Font Object, a format for typeface design; it has nothing to do with tic-tacs over Nevada. The package generates changelog text from a deterministic diff of font source files, which is useful if you make typefaces and useless if you make claims about Roswell.

The word choice is unfortunate but not sinister. Someone in font tooling picked an acronym decades before Pentagon briefings made UAP a buzzword; the collision is coincidence, not cover-up. Grade this as zero evidentiary value for anomalous phenomena and modest utility for developers tracking glyph changes across releases.

We mention it because our alert feed is dumb enough to flag it. That says more about keyword scraping than about disclosure. File under: not every UFO is a UFO.
