Blurry moon dot declared ‘100% proof’ of aliens

A smudge above the lunar surface has been promoted from pixel to proof, with no source image, no coordinates, and no scientist willing to put their name to it.

The claim: a NASA moon photograph shows an object hovering above the surface. The evidence offered: the photo itself, uncredited, unlinked to any mission archive, and a quote calling it ‘100% proof’ of extraterrestrial life. That is not evidence. That is a caption.

Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter images are public and searchable by frame number. Nothing in this story points to one. Without that, ‘NASA photo’ could mean anything from an official LROC frame to a screenshot of a screenshot, degraded through three rounds of compression until a dead pixel or dust speck reads as a craft.

Base rate matters here. Decades of ‘moon anomaly’ sightings have resolved to lens flare, sensor artefacts, or misidentified Earth-orbit debris in the foreground of a long exposure; not once to a spacecraft. Could this be different? Sure. Could it also be dust. Until someone posts the raw file and mission ID, file this under unverified, not under alien.
