Ever since I can remember I’ve wanted to go to Walt Disney World
As a kid I was transfixed by the magic of the films. I used to watch pinocchio every Saturday without fail at my Nana and Grandads house. For Easter my Mam used to buy my sister and I the latest Disney release in VHS and we’d watch it over and over until the tape warped. Even as a teen I was was obsessed with the Nightmare Before Christmas. I even went to university to study animation and go on to open an animation studio, all because I was fascinated by films like Disney!
So i guess you could say I’m a fan..
Well three weeks ago I finally got to go and see the magic first hand. And it was awesome. I was a 28 year old man-boy running around the park like a child possessed. Parks, rides, food, Mickey, Minnie, witches, fairies and cowboys… I did it all.
Well, one week back into reality. Back at my desk. I find myself yearning for that magic that you only find in Walt Disney World. But the closest thing I have to a character parade is when our cleaner comes in and dusts the office like she’s playing whack-a-mole. Still, I guess there is a sense of rhythm in her performance.
This issue is all about trying to recreate a tiny amount of the wonder that you’ll find in the Magic Kingdom. So read on folks. You’re going to have a ball!
Oh, and make sure you check out the adventures of Buzz and Woody in this issue, we had a blast making that one!
Cheers!
